Around here

^^ Alannah loves to run and dance around the front garden. We hang the pink cd boom box out the games room window.
^^Alannah and I baked and decorated biscuits for Dada's birthday BBQ. I made meringues for the first time using this recipe.
^^ The front garden is a lovely spot to paint in the early morning.
^^ The driveway is a canvas for drawings of Alannah's family and friends.

Around here

Our kitchen garden.  We pick shallots and silverbeet regularly and have just picked our first celery.  Ma is about to start planting the other vege bed.






Lemons from our neighbour's tree.  Alannah is squeezing lemons for hot lemon tea to help me ward off a sore throat, but by today I'd succumbed to her virus.






Darren is building a sandstone garden bed for a trellis for peas or berries.  The next step is to line it, fill it, and replace the soil around it.  He's pretty handy, isn't he?

Around here

^^ Alannah has her hand up immediately I suggest we harvest shallots, silverbeet or herbs from the garden.



^^ Camellias abound in the front and back gardens.



^^ The deciduous trees mean the backyard is now full of winter sun from mid morning to mid afternoon.
