On being involved

Alannah is now 3 years and 4 months old, and is taking the initiative this Christmas for the first time. As our previous tree had perished in the move, Alannah and Mumma went out, and Alannah selected the tree of her dreams. Just the right size for a little girl.
Mumma and Alannah decorated the tree, and the games room, with Ma's baubles, and boxes of bling left in the attic by the previous owners. Well enough for when the tree grows in future years. Ma's job, now, is to ensure that this tree lasts us until trees are no longer de rigeur.

I might hopoe that Christmas trees, and decoratios will always be part of the girls' lives, Letty. It does seem a bit hypocrical though, as I am not in the least religious. Anti, if anything.

Yes, Diane, they grow incredibly fast! And this is from someone who sees her grandchildren every day!
